9 Time World Champion Kelly Slater Predicts Cork Surf Revolution

Kelly Spotted wearing cork colours at recent event. Is the hurley a hint at his future living plans?

Sources close to Kelly Slater have sensationally revealed his admiration for the Cork surf scene. His chats with one insider reveal the extent to which Kelly thinks corks surfers are the new Kellys. “Its unbelievable!! He just wont shut up about the place. All I hear from him is how the cork scene is about to produce the new him!” Of course this is not surprising news with similarities between cork and Kellys home breaks in the mushy beaches of florida. He has already been quoted as saying how the lack of proper waves forces the local surfer to refine his style to such and extent that they become a better surfer in comparison to locals at much better quality waves.

Further evidence of kellys affiliation with cork was his rendez vous with GAA star Sean Og Hailpin in Fiji where the two hooked up for a quick game of hurling on the beach in between surfs. He expressed his disapointment with Corks failure to get to the ALL IRELAND HURLING FINAL. Sean Og said “jeesus he was gutted like. He said when you going to beat them Kilkenny langers.”
